Director of Finance and Administration/Controller

Seeking: Director of Finance & Administration / Controller

Location: San Francisco preferred. Texas (Austin, Athens, Dallas) considered

Start: Immediate

Compensation: Competitive & commensurate with experience (full-time position)

Role: You will be responsible for finance & accounting as part of a small, fast-growing team with opportunities to take on increasing responsibility. Specifics include:

• Financial reporting & reconciliation, maintaining the general ledger on a GAAP basis
• Coordinate state and federal tax compliance matters
• Budgeting, forecasting, modeling, & providing budget variance analysis
• Providing division, service, customer, & contract-level profitability analysis
• Contract administration, including ability to draft & analyze customer contracts, & lead customer bid generation & analysis
• Cash management
• Customer billing & collections
• Vendor payment & benefits administration

Requirements:

• Record of success as a Controller, Director of Finance, or similar role in an entrepreneurial environment
• CPA
• Excellent modeling & bookkeeping skills
• Detail-oriented with ability to understand broader business issues
• Experience in a business that bills customers based on shared-savings (for example, an energy savings company) is a huge positive
• Experience with businesses that have deferred revenue
