IRRIGATION TECHNICIAN

Position description:

Banyan Water Smart Irrigation Technicians will routinely inspect Customer irrigation systems for proper hydraulic function, coverage, and distribution uniformity, making a report of opportunities for improvement and efficiency enhancement that promote maximum water use efficiency. Technicians will travel to Customer properties, with high regard for the safety while in transit and while on Customer property.

Major areas of responsibility include:   

• Inspection, diagnostics, reporting and repair of irrigation systems 
• Identification and tracking of irrigation parts inventory or supplies and employee time required to complete necessary repairs or enhancements to Customer irrigation system         
• Communiations and reporting to Area Supervisor and Customer property management         
• Operation and maintenance of company owned tools, diagnostic equipment, vehicles

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

• You must be a self-motivated, detail-oriented individual
• 3 – 5 years of in-field installation and repair experience on commercial irrigation systems
• An Associate’s or Technical degree is preferred
• Current Irrigation Association Technician Certification required; additional CLIA certification preferred
• Computer skills required; Microsoft Office Suite – Excel, Word, Outlook, Internet Explorer required
• Clean driving record and valid driver's license
